I have had amazing experiences at Plena. The therapists are qualified, kind, and patient people that really care about the kids. There are many specialists in a variety of different mental illness or disorders. I was hesitant at first for a group therapy program but I would highly recommend it. Hannah, the expressive therapist, is amazing and makes unique connections and impacts on all patients.

The growth and change we saw in our first son after going through Plena ended up being exactly what our second son needed. Our experience at Plena changed our family for the better. We had both of our boys in their intensive programs in 2024. Two elements of their approach really made a difference for all of us — one was coordinating an entire-family approach that worked for all of us, parents and kids. The other was giving us language and a framework to understand the boys medical challenges (which contribute dramatically to behavior challenges) as contributing to, but not responsible for, their behavior. It empowered both boys to take ownership again of their behavior. Our family life now is the best it’s ever been.
