Dr. Aslam is dual board-certified in Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. A Kentucky native, she completed both her adult psychiatry residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at the University of Kentucky, where she served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Aslam has an interest in working with children, adolescents, and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, and ADHD, as well as a broad range of other mental health concerns. Her approach is compassionate, thoughtful, and collaborative, blending evidence-based therapy with medication management when appropriate. She does not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to care and takes the time to understand each child and family’s unique needs, strengths, and circumstances when developing a treatment plan. She works closely with parents and caregivers throughout treatment and empowers them with the tools and strategies needed to support their child’s emotional well-being and growth.
Dr. Aslam is committed to providing culturally sensitive, whole-person care that honors each family’s individual experiences and values. She genuinely enjoys getting to know young people and finds it incredibly rewarding to help them feel understood and more confident in themselves.
