Outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Matthew is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. He completed his adult psychiatry residency at Saint Louis University and his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Chicago.

He has experience treating many conditions, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, OCD, mood instability, ADHD, and trauma.

Whether working with children, adolescents, or adults, Matthew considers it a privilege being a part of someone’s journey toward mental well-being.

His therapeutic philosophy involves a holistic and collaborative approach. He works closely with patients and their families to create a personalized treatment plan that tailors their unique needs and aligns with their specific goals. His approach prioritizes lifestyle and behavioral factors, while remaining open to the use of medication when necessary. Most importantly, he believes in maintaining an atmosphere that is safe, affirming, and supportive.

Beyond his clinical practice, Matthew is committed to advocacy efforts aimed at reducing stigma surrounding mental health and improving access to care for gender diverse populations. His goal is to make a positive impact not only in the lives of his patients but also in the larger context of mental health awareness and support.
