DO Medical Director, Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
Dr. Courtney Heim is a dedicated psychiatrist with dual board certification in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, driven by her passion for medicine and speech pathology. She completed her medical education at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a residency in General Psychiatry at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. Dr. Heim further specialized by completing a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where she contributed to a published study guide in her field.
Currently, Dr. Heim serves as a preceptor for medical students on their psychiatry clinical rotations from Midwestern University College of Osteopathic Medicine through her work at Plena. Her clinical interests include mood and anxiety disorders, psychopharmacology, and student mental health, where she strives to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to her patients.
