Firuza Aliyeva, MD

CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER

Dr. Firuza Aliyeva is a Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. She completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where she served as Chief Fellow, and her general psychiatry residency at Chicago Medical School. Dr. Aliyeva has extensive experience in inpatient care and partial hospitalization treatment programs for children and adolescents. She served as Medical Director for the Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and the Partial Hospitalization Program at Advocate Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Aliyeva is also trained in integrative psychiatry and completed a Year-Long Fellowship Program at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. She incorporates evidence-based integrative approaches into her clinical practice, addressing the whole person to promote healing and well-being.

A passionate educator, Dr. Aliyeva taught a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry lecture series to Medical Students and Psychiatry Residents at Advocate Children’s Hospital. She was recognized by Advocate Lutheran General Hospital’s Psychiatry Residency Program as Best Inpatient Attending of the Year and awarded Resident Teacher of the Year by the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Chicago Medical School. She integrates this passion for teaching into her work with patients and families at Plena Mind Center, believing that education empowers both patients and their families throughout treatment and beyond.

Dr. Aliyeva earned a Master of Science degree in Epileptology from King’s College Hospital, London, where she focused on neuropsychiatry and neurophysiology.
