Hannah has been practicing as a Board-Certified Music Therapist serving youth and families in Chicago since completing her intensive clinical internship at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital in 2016. She completed her coursework at Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne with a focus in music, psychology, physiology and philosophy. Since then, she has enjoyed working with a diverse population of at-risk children and adolescents in psychiatric inpatient, acute medical and therapeutic outpatient settings.
Music Therapy is the evidenced-based, systematic and clinical use of musical interventions by a board certified Music Therapist to assess and address emotional, communicative, social, sensory, cognitive, motor and educational needs. Hannah is passionate about helping children and adolescents improve their mental health by using creative experiences and the relationships that develop through them as dynamic forces for positive growth.
Hannah utilizes music and creativity as a source of intrinsic motivation for children and adolescents to engage in therapy. She is excited to facilitate strength-based experiences at Plena that foster your child’s empowerment in treatment by offering judgment-free opportunities for self-awareness, acceptance and expression.
