Galina “Gee” Lipkin is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a master’s degree from Northeastern Illinois University. Galina has worked in outpatient, community mental health, crisis assessment, and inpatient settings, focusing on work with children and adolescents with a special interest in anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders. Galina also completed an Advanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Fellowship at the Depression and Anxiety Specialty Clinic of Chicago, receiving advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT). She has also completed specialized training for treating Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs) such as skin picking and hair pulling.
Galina enjoys working with clients to help them find the most effective path to wellness. She believes that all clients have the potential to grow and heal and is passionate about providing support for the children and adolescents at Plena.
When she’s not working Galina enjoys being out in nature and spending time with her cat.
